EB-5 program considered for use in Saco

The city of Saco is now determining whether or not the EB-5 immigration program will be used to fund projects in the area in order to boost the economy and job market in the area.

The EB-5 immigration program was created in 1990 by Congress in order to help jump start depressed areas of the economy. The program allows a foreign national to invest at least at $500,000 into an American business. The business project must create at least 10 full-time jobs.

A half-day conference was held in Saco in order to discuss the EB-5 program. No commitments were made in the meeting because the goal was just to inform others on the process. Some officials feel the this program could help generate capital in the state of Maine, which will in turn boost the economy.

If you or a loved one has been interested in receiving residency in the U.S., you need representation on your side that can inform you on the project step by step. Contact the EB-5 lawyers of White & Associates by calling 818-730-3540 today.
