The building of the new ballpark for the Oakland A’s has been put on hold because state lawmakers are now allowed to seize money that was meant for redevelopment. Now, officials with the ballpark are looking to use the EB-5 program in order to finance the project.

The EB-5 program is an immigration program that is used by foreign investors in order for them to receive a green card to the U.S. by investing at least 500,000 into an American business. In areas with higher employment, an investor must put at least $1 million into the project.

The project must also create at least 10 full time jobs. This project includes the Victory Court ballpark and a Coliseum City Project which will include hotels, shops, a convention center, and new sports facilities.

If you or a loved one has bee interested in learning more about the EB-5 immigration program and becoming a foreign investor, you need representation on your side that may be able to help you through this process step by step.
