The commission for redevelopment in Evansville has voted to continue with plans for the hotel to be constructed. It was voted 3-1 that the Kunkel Group continue with the plans. Prime Lodging also submitted plans to build the project, but the Kunkel Group was approved.

The funding for the 220 room hotel is still in question. Prime Lodging suggested that the EB-5 foreign investment program be used, but Kunkel group stated that they had more standard funding ideas.
